Overview

LedgerFlow set out to replace desktop accounting software for boutique accounting firms managing dozens of small-business clients. We built a multi-tenant SaaS covering invoicing, expense tracking, and tax-ready reporting.

The Challenge

Each firm managed client books in isolated desktop installs with no remote access, manual backups, and no way for clients to view their own financial status without emailing a PDF.

The Solution

We architected a multi-tenant platform with strict data isolation per firm and per client, built on a Django backend with a React frontend. Invoicing, recurring billing, and bank reconciliation run through a unified ledger engine, with exportable reports formatted for common tax filing workflows.

Key Features

  • Multi-tenant architecture with per-firm and per-client data isolation
  • Automated recurring invoicing with payment gateway integration
  • Bank statement import and semi-automated reconciliation
  • Real-time profit and loss and balance sheet reporting
  • Client-facing portal for invoice and payment history
  • Role-based permissions for firm staff, partners, and clients
  • Exportable tax-ready financial statements

Results

  • Enabled firms to onboard new clients without additional software licensing
  • Reduced manual bank reconciliation effort through automated matching
  • Gave clients self-service access to invoices, cutting routine support emails
  • Consolidated reporting that previously required exporting from multiple tools

Demo quote
We used to dread onboarding a new client because it meant another software license and another set of backups. LedgerFlow made that a five-minute setup.
