Delivery Disputes

Overview

NorthLane operates regional warehousing and last-mile delivery services across multiple hubs. We delivered an ERP unifying inventory management, dispatch planning, and delivery proof-of-delivery capture.

The Challenge

Warehouse inventory counts frequently drifted from system records, dispatch planning was done on whiteboards, and delivery confirmation relied on drivers calling in verbally.

The Solution

We built a warehouse and dispatch ERP with barcode-driven inventory movements, a route planning module for dispatch teams, and a driver mobile app for proof-of-delivery capture with photo and signature. All modules feed a shared inventory and shipment ledger.

Key Features

  • Barcode-driven inbound and outbound inventory movements
  • Dispatch route planning with load optimization suggestions
  • Driver mobile app for proof-of-delivery capture
  • Real-time shipment status visible to warehouse and dispatch teams
  • Cross-hub inventory transfer tracking
  • Exception handling workflow for damaged or short shipments

Results

  • Reduced inventory count discrepancies between warehouse and system records
  • Replaced whiteboard dispatch planning with a digital route planner
  • Cut delivery dispute resolution time using photo-based proof-of-delivery
  • Improved cross-hub visibility into inventory transfers

The whiteboard is gone, and disputes that used to take a week to resolve now take an afternoon because we have photo proof for everything.
