Overview

VantagePoint is a growing apparel retail chain operating both physical stores and an online storefront on separate, unsynced systems. We delivered a cloud POS with real-time inventory shared across every channel.

The Challenge

Stock levels shown online frequently did not match what was physically available in-store, leading to overselling. Store managers had no visibility into online order fulfillment happening from their location.

The Solution

We built a cloud-native POS that shares a single inventory ledger with the storefront, so any sale channel decrements stock in real time. Store staff fulfill online orders directly from the POS interface, and a central dashboard gives ops teams visibility across all locations.

Key Features

  • Unified inventory ledger across POS and online storefront
  • In-store fulfillment queue for online orders
  • Barcode scanning for checkout and stock intake
  • Multi-location stock transfer requests and approvals
  • Daily sales and shrinkage reporting per store
  • Offline-capable POS mode with sync-on-reconnect

Results

  • Eliminated overselling incidents caused by inventory mismatches
  • Reduced online order fulfillment delays through in-store pickup routing
  • Gave regional managers a single view of stock across all locations
  • Cut manual stock-count reconciliation time between systems

The moment we could see the same stock number online and in the store, our overselling problem basically disappeared overnight.
